Lies You Can’t Out Run

I’m really at the end of my rope
Dancing down a slippery slope
Barely existing on promises of hope
Delusions like the power of dope,

Thought I had a handle on this
That delusion of immediate bliss
Then there was that deadly kiss
Under attack and I’m hit or miss!

Now I roam under the aim of a gun
All the tails of your adultery unspun
No place for you all the lies you can’t out run
Oh, God I think I’m coming undone,

How did I ever become such an innocent fool?
Made from flesh and your convenient tool
A sphere that evolved to be so cruel
While you ignore the golden rule!

A quantum leap through heaven and the past
How can all these evil deeds last?
Spare me Lord I’m sinking fast
Allow me to be part of your holy cast,

There’s no way the earth can go on
We may awake to a poison dawn
While everyone is fatally drawn
Who will survive perhaps a fawn?

I knew from the very start
The kingdom of man would fall apart
Too corrupt and off the charts
It’s the most evil who think they’re smart,

I go to bed at night just to escape
The bad news and stories of rape
I never cease to have my mouth agape
A world from the bottom of the barrel to scrape,

Lord you so loved the world
Destroyed by Satan as each moment is unfurled
Losing everything it seems even sweet dreams
Seems I can do nothing to stop these evil schemes.
